Among the few women caricaturists in Mexico, Emilia Ortiz proved herself a master.  Her satirical drawings skewered the life and times of her world, of public figures and those familiars around her.  The figures drawn not only emphasized the unique features of each subject, but also the person within, creating perfect psychological profiles.
